University Air Center’s flight school offers comprehensive training programs for aspiring aviators. Our experienced instructors and modern fleet provide the perfect environment for you to achieve your pilot’s license. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to advance your skills, our flight school is here to guide you every step of the way. You will not be a number, but part of a team that is here to help you excel in your aviation career.

The Flight School at University Air Center (UAC) is one of our original departments and we have been training pilots since our founding.

As aviation evolved and the demand for pilots grew, UAC made the decision to invest seriously in our ability to offer comprehensive flight training. First, we recruited a full time staff dedicated exclusively to flight training. Pam Landis took the helm as Manager and she focused on building a motivated team of CFI’s. She added support staff to ensure office coverage included the weekends. Pam then introduced Paperless 141 to make it easy for students to schedule and manage lessons. UAC invested in aircraft, doubling the instruction & rental fleet and these investments paid off big time!

Our school is an FAA approved Part 141 flight school for Private, Instrument and Commercial instruction.

Veterans may use their GI Bill® benefits towards all flight training for Instrument and Commercial Licenses after earning their Private Pilot License. GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

We can train you for Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, ATP and all Instructor Ratings.

You can rent our aircraft for a short flight or multiple days. We have requirements for rentals and insurance needs, please contact the office for more information

Are you a photographer?

Interested in creating aerial images? One of our highly experienced commercial pilots will get you where you need to be, shooting the images you want to shoot, safely and efficiently.

Are you a developer or a contractor?

Survey flights are an ideal way to see a parcel of land, an area under development, or an active building site. We fly contracts for multiple construction sites, carrying photographers that visually document the work as it progresses from initial site work to completion.

Perhaps you want a glimpse into life as a pilot before taking the plunge. Discovery Flights are the best deal in town and a perfect way to learn what it takes to become a pilot and experience flight from the front left seat. Discovery flights are a great way to see Gainesville with one of our Certified Flight Instructors.

Our conversion rate from first lesson to successful check ride and license is 92%. If you do your part, we will do ours and celebrate success together!
