Judy is the heart of University Air Center and she has treated each and every employee over the last 35 years as if they were a member of her family. Judy and Mike were college sweethearts, having met on a blind date, and they married two years after they met. They have three adult children and 4 grandchildren. UAC is truly a family affair with two of their three children holding significant leadership roles in the company. Judy grew up in Elkins, WV and is a proud graduate of West Virginia University where she earned two BS degrees, Home Economics and Physical Education. After graduation Judy worked as an extension officer for the State of Florida, helping to put Mike through medical school while she earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Florida State University. Judy takes great pride in the company she helped to build and remains passionate about building its legacy.

Judy travels each spring back to her childhood hometown of Elkins to keep family ties strong and to enjoy the annual Ramps & Rail Festival, loving every minute of it. She is a gourmet cook and can turn out a feast for dozens of guests, making it look effortless. Anyone lucky enough to find themselves at the Lukowski dinner table will enjoy something truly remarkable. Her greatest love is her husband of 55 years. Mike grew up in West Virginia and attended West Virginia University where he graduated with high honors with a degree in physics. He was a NCAA division I swimmer at WVU and was co captain of the team his senior year. He was awarded the WVU athletic department's Scholar Athlete Award and the teams Outstanding Swimmer Award his senior year. Upon graduation he took his new bride to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, earning his Masters of Science in Physics. Michael considered a PhD program, but thankfully opted to attend UF’s medical school and ultimately became a respected OB-Gyn, delivering north of 7,000 babies in greater Gainesville during his medical career. He finished his medical career on the faculty at UF for 9 years. His patients treasured his exceptional kindness and his highly skilled dedication. Mike always had a love of aviation, describing childhood memories of watching the first jets trek across his backyard sky and thinking “I’m got to do that!” His passion for flying led him to become a pilot in the 1987 and to date he has more than 8,200 hours PIC of multiple aircraft. He is at his happiest when he is in the clouds! Mike and Judy lead a very active life, exercising daily, enjoying annual skiing trips to Utah and hiking trips to Glacier National Park, lobster fishing in Key West, vising their grandchildren in Georgia and traveling internationally as frequently as possible.
